Academic Credit

Earn academic credit for taking CWS courses

All CWS courses can be taken for graduate level (400) credit at your home institution or through our accredited partners. In addition to meeting the requirements for course completion, students must pass a final project/exam to earn academic credit (either pass/fail or letter grade). Information about final assessments will be included in the course ad and syllabus.

Steps to acquire credit from your college or university:

  1. Reach out to your advisor/committee chair for approval to take a Directed/Independent Study, Special Topic course, etc.

  2. When registering for the course online, under Course Formats, select: “I am taking this course for academic credit at my school.”

  3. Your CWS instructor will confirm you are taking the course for academic credit. At that time, please provide your instructor the paperwork and/or contact necessary to submit your grade.
