Recently, CWS instructors, Drs. Matt Chatfield, Cheryl Frederick, and Jack Hopkins published a paper titled, “Combatting the illegal turtle trade using chemical markers.” The illustration you see here of a wood (top), spotted (middle), and Blanding’s (bottom) turtles was drawn by Debra R. Hopkins and were used to create Figure 1 in the paper.
100 limited edition prints are currently available, a must-have for all turtle-lovers and those connected to all things wild in Maine. All proceeds from sales will be used to support turtle conservation in Maine.
